Bart Shatto - Official Website

Hearing just a few plaintive notes from his melodic tenor voice and extensive range is more than enough to tug the heartstrings of anyone who is lucky enough to hear them.

From the stages of Broadway, where he played the pivotal role of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, to packed arenas on tour with the Gold/Platinum selling rock-symphonic band, The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Bart has delighted audiences with his magnificent talents. Year after year, fans faithfully return to hear him sing “Old City Bar” dressed in rags, once again retelling his Christmas “fable” of giving. Bart’s vocals can be heard on albums including the original Children of Eden (original cast) and several Trans-Siberian Orchestra soundtracks.

A versatile actor/singer, Bart has shined in leading roles on Broadway (“Les Miserables,” “Dracula,” and “The Civil War”/Tony Nom. Best Musical), Broadway National Tours (“Les Miserables,” “CATS,” “ The Civil War"/Helen Hayes Nom. Best Musical), as well as some of the most acclaimed regional theaters in the country (i.e., Actors Theatre of Louisville, Fords Theatre, Alley Theatre.) His impressive resume boasts an eclectic skill set garnering him national commercial spots (ESPN, Comcast, Minolta, Conair), unique Television roles ("Ghost Stories," "Guiding Light") and leads in short films (“Finding Father,” “Opening Fright.” He has also had the privilege of performing at such distinguished venues as Carnegie Hall and at the National Theatre in Washington D.C. for President George Bush.

Bart resides in New Jersey with his wife Amy Bladen, P.h.D. and his teenage son and budding thespian, Conor Shatto.
