plaintive notes from his melodic tenor
voice and extensive range is more than
enough to tug the heartstrings of anyone
who is lucky enough to hear them.
From the stages of Broadway, where he
played the pivotal role of Jean Valjean
in Les Miserables, to packed arenas on
tour with the Gold/Platinum selling
rock-symphonic band, The Trans-Siberian
Orchestra, Bart has delighted audiences
with his magnificent talents. Year after
year, fans faithfully return to hear him
sing Old City Bar dressed in rags,
once again retelling his
Christmas fable of giving. Barts
vocals can be heard on albums including
the original Children of Eden
(original cast) and
several Trans-Siberian Orchestra
soundtracks.
A versatile actor/singer, Bart has
shined in leading roles on Broadway
(Les Miserables, Dracula, and The
Civil War/Tony Nom. Best Musical),
Broadway National Tours (Les Miserables,
CATS, The Civil War"/Helen Hayes
Nom. Best Musical), as well as some of
the most acclaimed regional theaters in
the country (i.e., Actors Theatre of
Louisville, Fords Theatre, Alley
Theatre.) His impressive resume boasts
an eclectic skill set garnering him
national commercial spots (ESPN,
Comcast, Minolta, Conair), unique
Television roles ("Ghost Stories,"
"Guiding Light") and leads in short
films (Finding Father, Opening
Fright. He has also had the privilege
of performing at such distinguished
venues as Carnegie Hall and at the
National Theatre in Washington D.C. for
President George Bush.
Bart resides in New Jersey with his wife
Amy Bladen, P.h.D. and his teenage son
and budding thespian, Conor Shatto. |
